A recent example of Workers' Party double standards

Following the findings of the Independent Review Committee (IRC) on the unusual and unfamiliar Hepatitis C cluster at SGH, a task force headed by Minister of State Chee Hong Tat has been formed to plug gaps highlighted by the IRC

Among other things, the task force will study 'best practices' from the international arena to strengthen Singapore's ability to detect and respond to 'uncommon and unusual infections'.

In response to the formation of the task force, Leon Pereira of Workers' Party suggested that a retired healthcare professional be appointed as joint head of the task force to 'ensure that recommendations are formed from a perspective of sufficient independence from the existing organisation structure'.

Does that make sense? Existing organisational structure will prevent the task force from learning from best practices in the world?

Dr Tan Wu Meng, an MP for Jurong GRC, said that however well-meant, nothing in WP's proposals "would help our healthcare workers diagnose outbreaks better, detect atypical infections sooner, or sense uncommon problems more clearly".

Independence is a good thing. Workers' Party could have saved us lots of taxpayers' money if they had allowed for independent accountants to help them examine their books and recover whatever money that has been lost instead of using their full resources to mount a vigorous defence against the appointment of INDEPENDENT accountants.

In other words:

Hep C Outbreak - WP DEMANDS FOR INDEPENDENT reviewer in form of retired healthcare professional.

BUT.......

Verify & Audit AHPETC - WP REJECTS THE INDEPENDENT accountant to be appointed by MND to verify the AHPETC accounts.

Double Standards -  LOW STANDARD FOR WP but expects Higher standards for everyone else.

OMG... Alex Tan... Don't come back. Just stay away. Save Yourself!

WTF... I tho Alex hated everything Singapore and couldn't wait to get out?? So why is he even considering such a scenario?

He even posted that he felt "liberated" downunder in Sydney. So why does he want to come back??

Didn't Alex Tan announce publicly via TemsaekTimes that he had decided to quit Singapore for good in 2012?

Alex, Australia is very good wat... you don't need to do NS; there's welfare; there's freedom of speech.

Plus you get offer more money as a "Dishwasher" than you are an "AV technician Engineer" in Singapore.

And there, you seemed very happy that property prices in Sydney are falling. Perhaps you could do like what your buddies Ai Takagi and Yang Kai Heng and invest in property there. After all, HDB is also lousy right?

And Ausralia is heaven, according to your logic /  FB posts / States Times Review "news", when compared to all the "bad" things about Singapore - like the nefarious CPF; the slavery of NS and the evil PAP govt.

And didn't you say that you grew up in a "ruthless" society? Weren't you exploited? You described Singapore as a "dystopia".

So really, why does Alex want to come back?? Don't come back. Save Yourself!!

Workers Party & TOC tell a lie

WP better check their facts right before claiming the MRT Sleeper Replacement Programme should end in 2012.

Looks like our dear TOC is a mouth piece of WP. Spreading misinformation without checking on the facts too!

FACT: Sleeper Replacement Programme only commenced back in Nov 2012 and was scheduled to be completed by 2019. However, after implementing machines, the replacement of the sleepers accelerated, the deadline has now moved forward to 2016!

SMRT is pleased to announce that the company is making steady progress in its sleeper replacement programme. Specialized machinery, known as "Road-Rail Vehicles" (RRVs), have been mobilised to accelerate the programme. Originally scheduled for completion by 2019, the pace of replacement along both North-South and East-West Lines are expected to accelerate as more RRVs are deployed and utilized over the next few months, so that the work can be completed by 2016. - See more at: http://transport.asiaone.com/news/general/story/machines-accelerate-mrt-sleeper-replacement#sthash.AJMFx7L4.dpuf

So far, four of the so-called Road-Rail Vehicles have arrived. They will mechanise the replacement of sleepers (thick timber planks on which rail tracks rest), a process that has been largely manual till now. Image: AsiaOne

WP and TOC are rubbish. Why can't they just base their statements on FACTS!

Must everything is twisted and spinned simply to oppose the Govt at all cost?

Baby Amos, outraged at the lack of interest, continues to troll-bait

{ Updates at the bottom }

hahahaha... this is turning out to be such a funny situation.

Earlier at today (15 Dec 2015, 11.14am), Amos posted this "heart-wrenching" note for his family. It is rather obvious that Baby Amos is trying to create some "public outrage" over the "dire" situation that he is "in".

Poor thing....you got yourself into this shit.

(Posted on 15 Dec 2015, 11.14am)

A few hours later at 4.32pm, yet another post came out.  It seems that Banana-Boy is furious that no one seemed to be paying much attention to his situation, even after that earlier sob-story.

(Posted on 15 Dec 2015, 4.32pm)

A quick check of the usual crappy, anti-PAP, alternative-media sites revealed why Baby Amos is so upset.

TOC - Only one post about Amos on 12 Dec. Nothing about his latest "catch me if you can" antics of 15 Dec.

All Singapore Stuff, States Times Review, Wake Up Singapore, TR Emeritus - Zero mention (as of 15 Dec).

A.. BIG.. FAT.. Zero. Not even a sympathetic "poor, oppressed-by-evil-PAP" mention for Amos.

heeheheee... it looks like Amos only has his dubious Facebook supporters' shoulder to cry on. Even his one-time, anti-PAP buddies seem to have deserted him. Where is Roy Ng and Han Hui Hui?

Well, this just goes to prove two important points.

(1) Singapore's so-called "Democracy & Freedom of Speech Champions" / Alternative media / Opposition Supporters do not have any principles. They are quick to desert anyone who becomes a liability - no matter even if it is a "freedom of speech" issue which they so love to shout. Amos was once their poster-boy and darling, so why the cold-shoulder now?

(2) Amos's antics and posts are all simply intended to get him attention. He, if deprived of the attention that he seems to crave so much, will just 'die' (metaphorically speaking). Freedom of Speech? That's just a smokescreen to hide his base desire for notoriety and fame.

Update:
15 Dec 2015, 7.53pm: Amos has unleased yet another {TL;DR} post - seemingly threatening TOC for dunno-what-shit, mentioning "Vincent molest me" again, taunting the police again, links to his pathetic blog, and oh, more vulgar words on religion.

He must be really crying his eyes out for some attention from his beloved Alternative Media. hahahaha...

Update 2:
Came across this video... it's so appropriate. It'd be a short countdown to the day when Amos has to face the music for his crass follies.

Update 3:
Wah... Amos must be really desperate now. In yet another attempt to stir up interest in him, Amos has re-posted the video that started this whole fiasco, cusses more about everything... YAWN..  and taunted the police... blah blah blah.. {TL;DR}

(Posted: 16 Dec 2015,7.49pm)

(Last) Update 4:
Wah, steady lah Amos. In a space of just a few days and just a handful of posts, you have proven yourself to be most worthy of being sent for Reformative Training. And if he already doesn't know, Reformative training can last between 18 to 30 months and it results in a criminal record. And its not exactly the most pleasant place to be.

See how desperate Banana-boy is for eye-balls to his blog? He doesn't seem to realise that the only reason why people are paying him any attention, is the same as why people find it hard not to stare at an accident scene.

wow... Banana-boy is really determined to qualify for RT. I'm sure the Judge will continue to take "pity" on you and grant your wish. yawn....

(Pixel-edit of the screen-cap done)

hahaha... I knew it. Banana-boy was acting. I wonder how his supporters must feel like now? Stupid? Cheated? Money/time wasted? hahahahah.....

And Banana-boy continues feed his delusion that he is the target of a massive man-hunt. In all likelihood, the police are just following established procedures when a person doesn't turn up for police interviews. I seriously doubt the police are deploying any extra manpower for this nose-snort.

And his antics have "caught" the attention of a "Mohammad Hussein" who claims to have links with ISIS. Banana-boy must be loving this attention. But then again, maybe this was posted by Banana-boy himself just to spice it up? Who can know for sure?

Well, he's got "balls" all right. ..... balls of stupidity instead of a brain.

"Top trending person"?  Yeah.. big deal. Just like how infamous people, hard-core criminals, accidents and disasters then to capture people's attention too, you dumbass.

Oh well, this is getting largely boring. Same shit, different day.

So I doubt I'll make any more updates on him - unless he does something totally ermmm.. stupid...  oh wait. .. hmm.. scratch that.. that's him every other day. different.

Workers' Party demands Transparency and Accountability from everyone but themselves

#‎表里不一的伪君子‬。It makes me wonder did Dennis Tan demanded transparency and accountability from his Party on the question raised in Parliament that the WP's leadership had flatly refused to answer.

Dennis Tan is also a lawyer.

Did Dennis Tan questioned why the Court used the Latin legal phrase, suppresio veri, suggestio falsi - to suppress key facts, and suggest something which is untrue, amounting to fraud - to describe Sylvia Lim's assurance to parliament that AHTC has topped up the Sinking Fund, when it hasn't?

Did Dennis Tan demanded to know why WP leadership held back information from AHPETC's own auditors?

Did Dennis Tan asked WP's leadership to explain why is WP refusing MND’s offer to pay the government grants to AHPETC on condition that an independent accountant safeguards the use of those funds, when WP’s own lawyers accept that the MND can impose conditions and the High Court found that MND’s conditions were reasonable?

Did Dennis Tan ask Sylvia Lim to account why did AHPeTC signed a contract that overpay their long term supporters at FMSS? How did FMSS grossly profited $4.7 million while the Town Council suffered a deficit of $3.5 million in 2 years?

=================================

I wonder if the residents of AHPETC are regretting/repenting yet.

Looks like Lee Kuan Yew was spot on in his prediction made in 2011.

Baby Amos crying out for more milk

Just when we thought that Banana-boy Amos couldn't pull off any more fresh stuns apart from making more stupid videos and idiotic public posts on social media, he comes and surprises us yet again.

So apparently several people have made police reports against Amos, and now the poor police have to investigate the matter to see if there is any merit to the complaints.

Obviously, Banana-boy wasn't going to be cooperative. Now, aren't we all surprised?

So after whining about how the police came to take his laptop way, he goes on to whine about how evil the govt is, how stupid the policeman is, etc etc and essentially issues a challenge to ermm....everyone to do ermm... not sure what. Anyway, TL;DR.

Well, what did you expect you dumb piece of shit? That the police would come and give you a lollipop and ask you nicely to be a good boy?

So the day comes where he is suppose to show up for the police interview (at 9am on 14 Dec 2015). And Banana-boy posted this on Facebook.

Posted 10.40am on 14 Dec 2015

Perhaps he's just trolling the media and public again. After all, the police notice did give him the option to change the police interview date.

Or maybe Banana-boy thinks his two tiny balls peas are really huge titanic and he is really trying to challenge the police and has gone into hiding, ala 'Catch Me if you Can'?

Posted 6.47pm, 14 Dec 2015

Well, so much for being "remorseful". I guess he is really relishing the fresh public and media attention this latest fiasco has created and probably just salivating at the coming shit-storm.

Better yet, he seems to be deluded enough to think that the police is going to mount a "manhunt" for this piece of nose snort, simply because he "ignored" their interview order. hahahahah......

And the digging of that deep hole continues....

[Defending the Lion City] Forging Sabre 2015 XFS 15 is proof of concept for Singapore's deterrence strategy

SAF's F15s prepare for take off from Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, Arizona Photo: Raj Nadarajan, TODAY

By David Boey, Senang Diri, 13 Dec 2015

Six moving targets - the same number found in a typical rocket artillery battery - were destroyed at the same time by the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) during its Forging Sabre war games.

To observers able to join the dots, the SAF capability demo in the Arizona desert during Exercise Forging Sabre 2015 (XFS 15) revealed far more about Singapore's ability to take apart an opponent than its press statements were prepared to say:

  • The distance covered in the area demarcated for the combined live-fire exercise (CALFEX) was about 20 times the size of Singapore or more than 100km at its longest stretch.
  • The duration of the most complex CALFEX battle cycle tested the SAF's ability to sustain a high tempo of operations over several days.
  • The battlespace in the XFS 15 exercise arena included targets such as a battery's worth of simulated transporter-erector-launchers (TELs), opposing forces (OPFOR) of high-performance warplanes and enemy SAMs.
  • When one looks at the XFS 15 war game scenario, the ingress and egress routes on the simulated battlespace, number and arrangement of kill boxes, coordination of "last mile" guidance using Heron 1 unmanned aerial vehicles and Singapore Army Commando long-range recce patrol (LRRP) teams for target designation, and applies the exercise template to the geography around Singapore island, the results are indeed revealing.

Above all, XFS 15 - the fifth evolution in the long-running series that started out at Twentynine Palms, California, back in 2005 - demonstrated that the SAF's drawer plans are far more than paper plans. From the first XFS till today, each war game marks a progressive and noticeable step up in size, scope, capability, complexity and rigour of the all-out conventional war scenario played out by Singapore's fighting forces.

In and by itself, tiny Singapore's citizen's armed forces is in no position to threaten the politico-military status quo, the all-important caveat being that state actors do not attempt to use military power against the island nation.

Should push come to shove, the XFS scenario may well go "live", with the SAF ranging over an area 20 times the size of Singapore to hunt and kill the military assets that could hurt us.

At XFS 15, the SAF showed what it could do when the gloves come off.

The knock-out punch delivered against the OPFOR and simulated battle targets, by day and night, by many striking as one, is compelling evidence that tiny Singapore's deterrence strategy is underpinned by a playbook that is workable, rehearsed and devastatingly effective.
