Worker's Party Bernard Chen flips and flops faster than Prata man!

Wah, this Bernard Chen Jiaxi from WP can really flip and flop around really fast - even better than a Prata man can.

One day (26 Dec'15) - he whines and complains that it is unfair that HDB officer follows the PAP candidate around, and not the elected WP-MP. Oh, and he also wants one to follow him.

The very next day (27 Dec'15)  - he wants to "... salute the professionalism of our public officers and civil servants..." and then goes on to imply that PAP really tekan taxing our poor front-line Officers for these PAP walk-abouts and depriving them of "... quality family time and their leisure and rest..."

Oh, and by saying "...instead of politics, let's look at the issue from another perspective....", Bernard has also let slip that his initial post on 26 Dec'15 was really an attempt to play up the politics of the situation and point fingers in an attempt to imply a lapse in protocol.

Bernard: "...See see... an unelected candidate can make HDB officer follow him around leh...."

Bernard had probably soon realised that he was inadvertently suggesting that WP's elected MP Md Faisal did not and/or could not and/or will not request for the same assistance from HDB for whatever their reasons. ie: An Ineffective MP

And he goes on to do damage-control by suggesting that WP's way of doing things (ie: ".. take down the feedback of residents himself and write in to the relevant agencies on the next work day") for years, has been effective and does not have a reason to change.

I wonder if their residents actually feel the same. Maybe that's why we are hearing more and more grouses from WP constituencies.

Anyway, so do tell us Bernard, what then is your actual position on the issue (of having a govt agency staff follow the MPs of any party on their walk-abouts in their constituency)?

Do you think it's a good thing or a bad thing? Are you able to clarify your position and the WP's position on this practice?

Or are you going to learn from your big boss and say "... neither did I say the Good Ting or the Bad Ting..."??

Meh...so much for the vaulted blue hammer that wants to be the co-driver, checker, empower your future  blah blah blah...

In reality, it is an broken hammer without any principles and is unable and/or unwilling to take a principled and definitive stand on any issue, except to bend towards wherever popular sentiment seems to be heading.

"We have no stand b'cos we neither said the Good Ting or Bad Ting".

There goes Bernard Chen Jiaxi of Workers' Party taking credit for something in which he played no part.

The walkway was completed WEEKS AGO. MP Tin Pei Ling first post about the walkway in May 2015.

There was a statutory requirement for a power grid test and Ms Tin had been actively following up with LTA on this for the past WEEKS.

Don't you just hate it when you have been working hard to get something done and someone just come along and take credit for it when all the work has been done?

Bernard Chen Jiaxi, WP's candidate for MacPherson SMC in GE2015, is no stranger to trying to create a false impression for his supporters via Facebook. 

He was previously caught trying to impress the public that he had visited a charity organization to show his appreciation for their kind contributions to the community when he didn't. This lie was exposed by the charity themselves.

In the age where social media spreads news, both good and bad, like wild-fire; and the ease at which the facts of a situation could be just as easily verified or debunked by third parties, it does seem like common sense NOT to make up things, especially so if you are aspiring to be a politician.

It would seem that Bernard Chen, WP's candidate for MacPherson SMC in GE2015, has been caught out trying to give the impression that he visited a charity organization when he actually didn't.

WP's Bernard Chen's misleading FB post out-ed by charity organization. Apparently the charity is unhappy with Bernard for posting an old photo implying that he had visited them on Sunday when he didn't.

Mr Chen must really be feeling that burn.. because the post and the pictures don't seem to be on his facebook account anymore.

Oh and in other squeaky news... WP has a "GE2015 candidates' lunch get-together at JJ's place" without some of their former MPs.

In GE 2015, MacPherson SMC saw a three-cornered fight between

(1) NSP’s Mr Cheo “new Mothers are a Weakness” Chai Chen

(2) PAP’s Tin “Kate spade” Pei Ling

(3) WP's Bernard “Thanks for tagging us” Chen

Tin Pei Ling won handsdown.

Lee Li Lian stood as a WP candidate for Punggol East SMC where it was widely expected that WP would hold on to that seat. However, Lee lost the seat to PAP's Charles Chong. The Punggol East seat is the PAP's closest win for SMCs.

The Elections Department had declared Lee Li Lian as one of the elected as Non-Constituency MPs (NCMPs) but she has publicly said that she will not take up NCMP post. WP released a statement of its own shortly after, saying the party's leadership backed Ms Lee's decision not to take up the seat.
