More bullshit "apology" logic from TR Emeritus

The first "apology" from TRE was already full of bullshit...

You pretend to be a alternative news site, and you call yourselves "Editors", and yet you openly state that you don't "check the underlying facts" behind any "news" or "reader contribution"???.

Then what the cock is the Editor title for ???  You only edit for clarity??   Then don't pretend to be an alternative news site lah.

If that is still not nonsensical enough, you post another addendum to your original "apology".

You are "disappointed" that your rubbish pile of a website has been "accused of misleading" the public?

Hmm... let's see.

You post an unconfirmed, unsubstantiated article without fact-checking.

You post an "apology" but claim that it's not your fault because you don't fact-check??

The good thing is that we don't have to rant over TRE's stupidity and bullshit-filled "apology".

Here's what Chee Hong Tat (Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information & Ministry of Health) had to say about TRE's apology.

Bodoh Activists who just crave attention

Looks like Roy "justified-in-scaring-children-for-CPF" Ng is back in the limelight yet again.

We guess it's either he backside itchy is just craving for attention after falling out from the public's eye, or he's ran out of money looking for an excuse to launch another con gullible people's money donation drive to fund yet another potential court case about his next european holiday freedom of speech.

From Onward Singapore FB page:
Testing Fate on Cooling Day

The Independent Singapore ‪#‎TISG‬, ‪#‎royngerg‬ and ‪#‎teosohlung‬ were all courting disaster, to put it in simple terms.

Alternate sites and noises online are trying to divert netizens' attention from the crux of the issue, which is "Why did they make election advertising posting on Cooling Day?"
The police raided the house, took my laptop, phone blah blah blah is just a distraction.
2 points we want to state here on ‪#‎onwardsingapore‬
Firstly, the system is fair.

In 2001, ‪#‎nicoleseah‬ made a Facebook post on Polling Day. Investigations found that the posting was made by a party volunteer, the explanation was acceped and no further action was taken against her.

Secondly, TISG, Ngerg and Teo acted deliberately.

Assistant Returning Officer(AGO) specifically reminded TISG not to post any election advertising. As for Teo and Ngerg, they regularly engage in promotion and discussion of political issues. Being social media gurus, they ought to know that the content they post are related to election advertising.

There is no abuse of power. All parties involved have been acting against their judgement, wanting to throw their weight behind Chee Soon Juan.

This is an obvious case of blantant disregard to the regulations and now is the time to face the music. If in doubt, they should not have posted anything. Suck it up.

Kristen Han attempts to turn Black into White

If you don't already know, there was an uproar over what activist/freelance reporter/zo-bo Kristen Han posted over the execution of convicted murderer Kho Jabing.

Here's what she wrote on FB in full.

So, it would seem that the anti-death penalty proponent Kristen Han would rather focus on the perpetrator of the crime, and pay no heed nor attention to the crime's victims; in this case, a Chinese national Cao Ruying who came to Singapore to work as a construction worker.

As one netizen puts it, “If Kirsten wants to make the murderer the victim and martyr and the victim anonymous, I have very serious doubts about her own personal values."

I wonder if Kristen has lost all common sense and decency.

Anyway here are some reactions. (For even better reactions, go see her FB post or simply read the MalayMail online article on her.)

"I would like to know how Jabing died in my name. Did I ask him to bash a poor innocent defenceless man to death? How about some photos of the poor guy who died in no one's name so that we can see the photos and know his face? But perhaps because he died in no one's name, so we don't need to bother with him? Such is the value of the life of an innocent man to an activist."

"According to Kirsten Han, he died in all our names. If you agree with Kirsten Han, then it's time you show your gratitude to Kho Jabing. But would you? And how did Jabing die in our names? Did we play any part in his crime?"

"Just wondering. Since these “human rights activists” are so against death penalty, what do they suggest then? Mercy for Sarawakian Kho Jabing who killed a Chinese construction worker with a tree branch during a robbery attempt? Why only fight for him? Singaporeans who faced death penalty have no value because no international coverage?"

And what was Kristen's reactions to all the posts that slammed her?

Pic: Singapore Matters FB    Just how much is the value of victim Cao Ruying's life to human rights activist Kirsten Han? Not every much if her responses to comments are an indication: no obligation to write a more 'balanced' tribute   /     I don't apologize (for an unbalanced tribute) for it    /    I am just one person and not omniscient.   /     ...if you feel that not enough attention or support is given to victims and their families, please take action and help them however you can. http://bit.ly/1Tnp9mR
